Question:
Why is it acceptable that women use the men's toilets at pubs?

I find it annoying when I go into a toilet in a pub to find women walking around in the men's toilets. However, this would not be acceptable for a man to do in the women's. Even though the women's toilets would be more private than a men's urinal. I'm not saying nor do I want all pubs to have unisex toilets, but why is this oversight of equal rights allowed?

well considering we have smaller bladders I think womens restrooms should be larger than mens.......we don't have anything equivalent to a urinal.....and you guys pee faster. So in desperate moments, we occasionally, when there are NO lines for the mens room, use their facilities. I have had men offer women in line the use of their side.....they check to make sure no one is in there and they gaurd the door.....I think thats very gracious and considerate of them.

i think of this could be a stupid double generally occurring, and that i additionally don't understand why men's bogs have not got some style of diveders between urinals. I haven't any undertaking with men usin the girls individuals's bathing room or vice versa.

I find all these unisex toilets disgusting.

It is just cutting cost & it sucks. Women should not be able to wander around in guys toilets, because as you say men can't go in the women's toilets,

why would these women want to wander in the mens loo?

they must be drunk

Excellent point of reverse discrimination. Should you decide to invade a womens room, you subject yourself to arrest. A woman, however, (including some of these answerers) believe they have an inherrent right to invade "Mens" rooms.

Interestingly, New York City has implemented a new planning standard by which all public buildings built or renovated in the future must provide twice as many toilets for women as for men.

It would be interesting to test the idea and use the womens as a man and see what happens, however, women only use mens when thier's is full so the same condition should be for men as well.

it is rude i guess. The women should know better. Is there a reason why they are going in there, ask them, you might find the answer funny, they might say that the toilets in the women bathroom do not flush or they ran out of paper there or something.

Simple: it takes a woman long to drop her pants and undergarment to pee than it does for us to drop our zipper and pull out our "tool" to pee. It's easier to shake off the last drop (the last one always goes down the pants leg anyway) than for a woman to grab toilet tissue and wipe, then stand up, pull up her undergarments, then her pants (or drop her skirt). By the way, more women wash their hands than us guys... that's why I am never too pleased to shake hands with other guys!

So, it takes them a little longer to pee; they should have more toilets in their bathrooms, plain and simple. And we, us guys, should be a little more tolerant... our mothers, sisters and daughters are included in that lot. Remember that. We're supposed to be gentlemen but the way some of us whine and b i t ch, I sometimes wonder!

Women have a biological difference; it's that simple. AND we're the men... we should be a little more understanding and tolerant.

I use the mens room ONLY if it is a single room and has a lock on the door ! I mean to cause no one embarrassment nor do I want to wet my pants ! If I gotta go and the womens room is full then I hit the mens room.

You gotta go you gotta go, I have no idea, but I've certainly found myself in a tight situation before and I went into the ladies room, it had a lock on the door however, which is why I went.

As long as they're not using the Urinals. That would just be weird. In that case find the exit pronto.

its because the queue for the ladies is always so long,so if we've had a drink and need to pee we try and go to the mens cause u never have to queue,i'm sure the ladies you have seen havent been quite that sober!!

Why not? Some of them are using the men, anyway.

There are shorter queues in the men's toilets.

It sure is, why not?! Just make sure you don't sit on it as men tend to pee on the seat.

A gentleman welcomes the presence of a lady no matter where she is.
