Hi ya'll.. for some time I have been wanting to be an indepedent business woman and I want to run my own restaurant! I cannot afford a place to rent or afford nice furniture for the inside so to begin I want to open a restaurant in my backyard until I make enough to open one on a main street in a store. I have some tables and chairs in my backyard and very nice plates I can use. I have hand-crafted a menu to die for. I will use my son DaMarjustique as a waiter since he needs a job and the economy is tough. I will be the chef. It will only be open Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner only. If it rains we will not be open. I will also plant some nice flowers in my backyard to give it a beautiful outdoor feel! Here is my menu with the prices:

*Appetizers*

Mozzerella Sticks with Cheesy Sauce - $6

Pizza Rolls - $7

Tortilla Chips with Cheesy Sauce - $5

Onion Rings - $5

Pizza Bagels - $8

Tyson Boneless Wings with Cheesy Sauce - $12

Warm Pita with Cheesy Sauce - $7

**Entrees**

Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup with Cheesy Sauce - $14

Spaghetti and Meatballs - $15

15 Tyson Boneless Wings with Cheesy Sauce - $14

Baked Clam Strips and Creamy Spinach - $16

'Dieter's Dream' Salad: Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, and Croutons -- $14

Baked BBQ Ribs with Cheesy Sauce - $17

Chicken and Bean Burrito with Rice and Cheesy Sauce - $15

Steak with Potatoes and Cheesy Sauce - $22

What do ya'll think of my menu and restaurant? It will be named 'Jude's Backyard'. I think the menu is delicious and affordable, what do you think of the prices and the food? Should I add descriptions to each item? How can I get a lot of customers? And should I work on a dessert menu? Would YOU come to my resstaurant? Please leave me some feedback, every piece of advice helps! :)

Mmmmmmm!!! Sounds good! My only question is, would your city's zoning board allow such a thing. Your prices and varieties are great though. I'd eat there

Way too many things with cheesy sauce, whatever that is. Are most of these items frozen and you'd heat them up in an oven or microwave? If so, they are way over priced. And what goes with the entrees? Any salad or vegetable? Garlic bread with the spaghetti? $14 for some lettuce, tomatoes and onion and croutons? Way too much money. What kind of steak? What kind of potatoes? Why cheesy sauce with a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup? Too much money for that.

You need to check with the health department to see what the laws are in your city for opening a restaurant. Many places require you to have a license, and to get that, you would need an approved kitchen that is separate from your family kitchen. It must not have anyone else in it except you. Absolutely no pets in that kitchen and it must be inspected periodically.

Are you prepared for that kind of a set up? That's why you need to find out the laws from your health department.

Would I come to eat at your restaurant even if you are licensed? Not unless everything would be home cooked, and not frozen from the store. And I really don't like eating outside because of bugs, too much sun, not warm enough, windy, etc. Do your neighbors have pets or small kids that could wander into your back yard?

As you can see, I am not in favor of your idea. Sorry.

Sounds like a great restaurant! The prices for the appetizers seem a little high, but the entree prices are good. The food sounds really yummy. To get customers, it might be a good idea to put up ads around your neighborhood (library, post office, etc.). It might be good to have a few dessert items, but this is a great start. It also might be good to get umbrellas for the tables to block out the sun or rain. Good luck!

I've never seen or heard about it, and I watch those shows like it's a religion. I have, however, seen a couple reports on a place in Japan that's poo themed. Yes I said poo. They serve up food that's shaped like poo has poo type names and it's served in little toilets. !!! So I'd bet that if there's a trash themed restaurant you're gonna find it in Japan. They seem to love those wacky kind of places and don't have nearly the gross-out reflex that we do here in the US.
