When getting off a plane, OK to walk forward before everyone else has gotten up and moved towards the exit?

I'm a frequent flyer, and when the plane lands and the "fasten seatbelt" sign goes off, I get up and walk as far down the aisle towards the exit as I can, in the few seconds before people in rows ahead of me stand up and fill the aisle. I don't see a problem with that (or when people do that in front of me): people who are quick and in a hurry can get off asap, and others can get off when they prefer.

I do not ever walk in front of someone who is standing in the aisle or in front of someone who's standing in front of his/her seat, ready to walk into the aisle.

Recently, when I've stood up and gotten in the aisle, people in rows in front of me have stood up, too. Rather than walking forward, they just stand there until every single person in every single seat in front of them has gotten up, gotten bags and moved towards the exit. I don't like that because it holds me up.

Which is the polite way to get off a plane:

1. Get up asap and walk forward in the aisle, even if people in rows in front of you are still sitting there? (Never cutting in front of anyone else in the aisle, and never cutting in front of someone standing at his/her seat and who is about to step into the aisle though.)

2. Get up, but stand at your row until every single person in front of you has gotten up, gotten bags and has started walking towards the exit.

You didn't actually say you have a need to get out of the plane faster than anybody else, you just said you happen to fly a lot. I think what you are doing is against better etiquette. If you are in a hurry, just let people know and they *will* let you through. If you just are annoyed because waiting in lines is a botheration in your life, everyone has to deal with lines so not sure what you are talking about. Just wait unless you have an actual reason to be in a hurry.

I've been on one or two flights where the flight crew actually deplanes people according to rows, just like they allow people on by rows. Was weird. Usually, if you want to get off the flight as soon as possible, you just get up as soon as the pilot turns off the seat belt sign and move your *** toward the doors and exit. No big deal. However, there often will be people who do not observe the courtesy of staying out of the way if they aren't quite ready to deplane but block the exit aisle, or have to go about opening all the overhead bins trying to find their mass (and I mean mass, not just one carry on) of luggage. If you want to get off, you can just, and do it nicely, ask them if they would mind tucking in so you can pass because you have to make a connecting flight (whether you do or not, it's usually something other people understand and allow for). If they refuse, you have no choice but to wait until the move their fat selfish *** out of the way. Otherwise, it's totally up to you. I like to get off a plane as soon as possible since I always feel like a caged animal on the plane, so I carry on very few things so I can make a quick getaway, but those times when other people are just blocking the aisles and there's no getting around them, I'll just reseat myself, plug in my headphones and zone out until most of the people are gone.

IF you have no carry on luggage to get out of the overhead bin, I see no fault in darting up to the front of the plane. However, that causes you to block the aisle from people getting out of their row to reach their overhead bin luggage, thereby making them wait. Some people don't mind you being there, while others may get incensed that you are blocking their passage to get to their overhead bin for their luggage, so they can exit the plane.



IF you have luggage in the over head bin, then I think you should wait for your row's turn to exit the seat to gain access into the aisle to reach your luggage.
