Is anybody really "super busy" or is that just an excuse?

I texted Katie and she texted back "ok" 5 days later. She just told me that she's been super busy. I know for a fact that she has basically the same schedule and obligations that I have and I'm not super busy at all

I work full-time, go to nursing school with mountains of homework/projects/studying, have an apartment to keep up, and am in a polyamorous relationship, live on the side of a mountain in New England where we have to constantly shovel/de-ice, plus have chronic health issues and constant car trouble that needs to be attended to, so yes, I can vouch for the fact that you can indeed be too busy to keep track of who you have and haven't texted back.



Even if you have a similar schedule, people have different levels of stress and coping/organization skills, personal responsibilities, etc., so try to be understanding.

As another user said, what is "super busy" to one person might not seem that way to another.

I recently moved by elderly father to assisted living. Even though he is now looked after there, I still have his previous possessions and paperwork to go through. When it comes time for taxes, I will need to get my information together AND his as well.

I'm going to remodel his condo so there are contractors to deal with and decisions about paint, kitchen cabinets and flooring.

I consider my self to be "super busy" but I don't share all of what I do with everyone else because some of it is not really their business.



You say you "know for a fact" she has the same schedule and obligations.

Maybe you don't know some of what's going on it her life.

People do get super busy. And super busy is kind of subjective. What wears down someone may not affect someone else.



But if it took her that long to reply then she's not into you romantically. If you are just friends, who cares?
