No, a thousand times, NO. Who has done this to make you ask this question? It's not okay because it is disrespectful to the MANY people out there who don't like profanity and it makes EVERYone uncomfortable.

It depends on the work environment. I've worked in places where the norm was swearing until the air turned blue, but someone who didn't swear was totally okay and we respected that. I've worked in other places where people apologized for saying mild curse words and that was fine too.

I think that as long as you're not deragatory or trying to insulte or offend someone that it really depends on where you work what the standard is.

I don't think swearing at work shows any kind of professional attitude or proper upbringing.I may swear at times but I do it in the privacy of my own home where I can not offend anyone .

I love to swear in private with my friends, but it annoys me when people do it in public. Definitely not at work. People who do it are just revealing that they lack grace and professionalism and don't respect the job.

words like sh*t and d*mn aren't as bad as m*therf*cker and sh*tbag. There are different levels of swearing, and different times to use them. Dang near everyone in the Navy curses. It depends on your work environment and what is excepted.

if you work in a factory it is usually called "shop talk". If you work in an office, or around the public, or children, then no it shouldn't even be thought of. I guess its really a double standard.

I find it pretty rude to swear in general. It's pretty unprofessional at work.
