Question:
dog growling at empty space? It made me scared?

Sometimes in my house I'll see figures walk by and sometimes weird things happen but I always figured it was my imagination playing tricks on me. I dont think my house is haunted, even though odd things happen, I figured its just me being paranoid.

Well, anyway, it was cold today so I brought my dog inside for the first time in a long time. She happily explored the house and then we settled down on my bed. I was reading and she was resting beside me. Anyway, I looked up to see a figure passing at the end of the hallway (which I can see from my bedroom door). And I thought: "Oh well," but suddenly my dog jumped up, ran to the end of the bed, and began barking. Then she growled, ran back to me, sat beside me, and stared intently at the end of the hallway, ears up. She sat like that for a long time, not moving. And then when I got up, she started acting normal again, licking me and bouncing around..

But from the way she reacted... should I be worried?

There's nothing to be worried about. But dogs have heightened senses compared to people. I think your suspicions are correct. If you don't like it call a local paranormal group, and see what they say. My city has one, so your may too. They aren't whack jobs. They will do everything they can to prove that it is not a "ghost"..there are other things that could cause it...but ya never know

PS I've never seen but believe. My Grandfather, a math professor, very logical man, lived in a house with a ghost before he married. This ghost would turn on lights for him in rooms he walked toward, move his glasses toward him when he was trying to grasp them, many benevolent things. You really never know what's in the house!

Dogs can see and sense things we cannot. You can have your house blessed which should get rid of any revenants you have walking around, and yes, they do exist they are very real, I have had two encounters, one when I was 8 and another when I was ten. When I walk my dog at night she will suddenly stop turn and look back the way we came, never fails to scare me.

Is there any one who has your house keys? Because when a dog is alerted to something it's something, they have a very sharp sense of hearing ,and way before us they can hear. Are you sure nobody is trying to frighten you as a joke?
